Vintage & Vines 2021 Recap
The 12th Annual Vintage & Vines benefitting Adam’s Place was a huge success! The Southern Nevada community came together on the evening of May 6th 2021 and raised nearly $19,500 dollars to support programs and services for kids, teens, and families coping with loss.
Our event partner, Jaguar Land Rover Las Vegas, opened their beautiful showroom for our gala and biggest fundraiser of the year. Las Vegas Councilman Brian Knudsen made a special appearance and gave Adam’s Place a plaque recognizing the work our staff & volunteers have done for the community.
The evening was also filled with live performances, along with a gorgeous spread of food and wine thanks to local entertainers and chefs. They include magician Vinny Grosso, singers Nieve & Gigi Malandra and Kelly Vohnn, jazz saxophonist Justin Young, and Rock Band Otherwise. Acclaimed Las Vegas chef and Food Network’s “Chopped” winner, Johnny Church entertained guests with a cooking demonstration and served up delicious American classic dishes from his new restaurant “Johnny C’s Diner”. Those attending the event also got to experience a delicious spread from our supporting restaurant, The Capital grille at the Fashion Show Mall.
The silent auction portion of the gala was also a critical part of our success and we want to thank everyone who placed a bid and won fabulous items. Vintage & Vines 2021 would not have met its goal without the support of our sponsors: Gaming Arts, House Advantage, United Healthcare, Sierra Air Conditioning & Heating, Droisys, Las Vegas Review Journal, Mark & Anne Wayman, Rob & Holly Silvestri and Rick Yarnell.
Adam’s Place currently works with more than 300 youth every year. Its core program “Camp Cope” targets youths ages 5-18 and equips them with healthy coping skills to move forward after losing their loved ones. There is also an “in-school” component to Camp Cope which expanded to 10 campuses across the valley in 2020. The non-profit also provides quarterly workshops on healthy coping skills for adults, along with training for teachers, counselors, and social workers.
Thank you to all who joined our mission and helped raise much needed funds for our Camp Cope program. Together we build strong hearts and communities!
With thanks,
Kelly Thomas Boyers
