July 2026 – Volunteer Newsletter

Help Us Continue Our Mission

Adam’s Place programs are made possible through the generosity of individual donors and community supporters. Your support helps us continue providing grief support, connection, and resources for grieving children and families.

To ensure these programs remain available for future generations, we need your help.
Donate today and help us make sure no child has to navigate grief alone.

Happy July!

As summer is in full swing, we want to take a moment to thank each of you for the compassion, kindness, and dedication you bring to Adam's Place. Whether you're facilitating support groups, volunteering at events, helping behind the scenes, or simply sharing our mission within the community, your time and heart make a meaningful difference for grieving children and families.

In this month's newsletter, you'll find upcoming volunteer opportunities, important dates, training updates, and highlights from around Adam's Place. We hope you'll stay connected, get involved where you can, and continue sharing your passion for supporting our grieving community.

Thank you for being an essential part of the Adam's Place family. We couldn't do this work without you.

Wishing you a safe, joyful, and refreshing July!

💙 Be the Heart Behind Camp Cope 💙

On October 24th, we will gather for our Camp Cope One Day Grief Camp—a day dedicated to holding space, honoring stories, building coping skills, and reminding children and families that they are not alone in their grief. And we need you to help make that possible!

If you feel called to support children through one of the most tender experiences of their lives, this is your moment. You don’t have to have all the answers—just a willing heart, a listening ear, and the courage to show up. We will walk alongside you every step of the way with the training and support you need to serve as a facilitator.
If you are ready to make a difference or are already part of our Camp Cope Facilitator family and would like to be part of this amazing experience, simply head to our website and complete a volunteer registration form and select One Day Grief Camp to get started.

✨ Know someone who would be amazing at this? Share this opportunity with them and help us grow our Camp Cope community or post to your personal social media pages to help expand our reach! ✨

The impact of one day can last a lifetime.
Come be part of something truly meaningful. 💛

As we look ahead to another season of supporting grieving children and families, we invite our amazing volunteers to help us continue expanding the reach of Adam’s Place. Donations and sponsorships play a vital role in making our programs possible, helping provide grief support resources, meaningful activities, special events, and safe spaces where children and families can connect and find support.

One of the most impactful ways you can help is by sharing our mission with your personal and professional networks. If you know of a business, organization, community group, or individual who may be interested in sponsoring an event, or making a donation, please consider sharing our information. Every connection helps us reach more families and strengthen the services we provide.

Thank you for being advocates for our mission and for helping us spread awareness throughout the community. Together, we can continue ensuring that no child or family has to navigate grief alone.

💜💛💙🧡

Our Camp Cope Facilitator Handbook Is Here! 📚✨

As we celebrate 15 years of impact supporting grieving children and families, we’re proud to mark a meaningful milestone—the publication of our first two books in the Camp Cope for Kids series.

We are excited to spotlight Camp Cope for Kids: The Facilitator Guide, a resource thoughtfully developed from years of hands-on experience, best practices, and the voices of the children and families we serve. This guide is designed to support facilitators as a training and reference tool, helping ensure safe, consistent, and trauma-informed programming across Camp Cope.

Packed with practical insights, activity guidance, and facilitation support, this handbook is meant to be a trusted companion—before, during, and after sessions—so facilitators feel confident and supported every step of the way. 💡

These books will continue to be used as part of Camp Cope facilitator training. Participants who train with Adam’s Place will receive copies as part of their training experience, and Adam’s Place volunteers will continue to train at no cost and have access to the books at their program sites.

We’re grateful to everyone who has helped bring this resource to life and to our facilitators who make healing possible for grieving children every day. 💛

Don't Forget: On-Demand Support is Here! 💡

Need a quick brainstorming session? Have a spontaneous idea for a Camp Cope group? Or maybe you just need a little guidance before your next session?

We want to remind you that our On-Demand Facilitator Support is always available to you! There's no need to wait for a scheduled call—just reach out to Jacquie or Samantha whenever you need inspiration, tools, or a boost of confidence.

Your mission is our mission, and we're here to back you up every step of the way. We're just a message away! 📧
