Our Year in Smiles –
A Look Back, A Step Forward ✨📸
The Adam’s Place Yearbook:
2024–2025 Highlights
What an incredible year it’s been! As we flip through the pages of our Adam’s Place "yearbook," we’re filled with gratitude for our growing community of healing hearts. From family fun events to Camp Cope sessions—we’ve made unforgettable memories together.
Here’s a glimpse at some of our favorite chapters:
📷 Camp Cope & Third Thursday Support Groups - This year, 434 children, teens, and adults found connection and healing through our monthly peer support groups. Held across Summerlin, Centennial Hills, and Henderson, and virtually through Third Thursday, participants built coping skills, shared stories, and gained confidence—together.
👧 Littles: 80 | 👦 Middles: 99 | 👱♀️ Teens: 46 | 🧑 Adults: 209

📷 Trunk or Treats & Community Events – From spooky costumes to glowing good times, families came together to laugh, play, and connect at our Trunk or Treat events🎃, Camp Cope Family Rec Day at Hope Glows🌟, and many other community events. These moments brought light, joy, and community to the healing journey.

|
📷 Vintage & Vibes/Power of the Purse + Chip in for Children Fundraising Events - From stylish purses to swinging golf clubs, our fundraisers brought the community together in support of grieving families. Thanks to your generosity, Power of the Purse inspired heartfelt giving, and our 2nd Annual Chip in for Children Golf Tournament raised $21,249 to keep our programs going strong! ⛳👜💙

|
|
📷 Camp Cope Family Fun Activities - From museum adventures to hockey mornings and tea with Mrs. Claus, 231 participants joined us for unforgettable moments of joy, connection, and healing. Whether at the Discovery Children’s Museum, Aviators Game, family farm days, or cheering on the Desert Dogs, these events reminded us that fun and healing can go hand in hand. 🎟️🎄⚾🐐

📷 Fun Knights Out With The Las Vegas Golden Knights - Thanks to our amazing collaboration with Keegan Kolesar and the Vegas Golden Knights, Camp Cope families enjoyed unforgettable "knights" filled with excitement, connection, and community spirit on the ice! 🏒✨💛🖤

|
📷 Education, Training, Volunteers & our National Conference - From webinars to our national conference, 195 participants joined our Education & Training Marketplace to better support grieving youth. Behind the scenes, 34 incredible Camp Cope volunteers gave 953.5 hours of service, with support from partners like Wynn Employee Foundation, National Charity League, and LV Causeplayers.
We also welcomed 2 new CCSD school partners (bringing our total to 27) and continued collaborations with 1Care Hospice, Candlelighters, Nathan Adelson Hospice, and Nevada Donor Network. Healing happens when communities come together—and this year, they truly showed up. 💙

☀️ Grief in the Summer: Coping Through the Sunshine
Summer can be bittersweet for families who are grieving. Longer days, vacations, and changes in routine often bring unexpected waves of sadness or isolation. You’re not alone—and it’s okay to feel joy and grief at the same time.
Here are a few summer coping skills for all ages:
🌿 Create a Memory Garden – Plant flowers or paint rocks in honor of a loved one. This simple act encourages reflection and growth.
📝 Start a Summer Journal – Kids and adults can write about their feelings, memories, or dreams. Add drawings or photos to personalize it.
🏕️ Stick to Routines – With school out, structure becomes more important. Consistent sleep and activity times can help regulate emotions.
💙 Find Moments of Connection – Grief thrives in silence, but healing grows in community. Reach out, attend a support group, or join in at a summer event.

Since 2010, Adam’s Place has provided grief support to thousands of children, teens, and families navigating life after loss.
This year, we celebrate 15 years of hope, healing, and community. And we’re asking you to be part of the next chapter.
🎁 In honor of 15 years, would you consider donating:
- $15 to show your support
- $150 to support a child through Camp Cope
- $1,500 to fund peer support groups
- $15,000 to sustain our programs for the next generation
Your gift ensures no child grieves alone. Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we’ve built something beautiful — let’s keep growing it.
P.S. Your gift is more important than ever. Nationally, we are estimating that 1 in 11 children -- up from 1 in 12 last year -- will experience the death of a parent or sibling before they turn 18.
