Grieving children are vastly overlooked
Grieving children are vastly overlooked—both in society at large and in schools in particular. It costs $500 per child to sponsor them through one camp session, an 8 week program. This Fall's camp session has the largest group of children to date and we are at max capacity. Our services are in high demand. To continue to provide support for children and families that are experiencing grief, we need our communities help.
Estimates are that:
- 1 in 5 school-aged children experiences the death of a loved one
- 1 in 20 experience the death of a parent or sibling by high school
- 7 in 10 teachers report have grieving students in their classroom
Why Adam's Place?
Adam's Place provides 8 sessions of coping skills, education and support for children and teens through out the school year at no cost to the family.
What does Adam's Place provide?
We coordinate our eight sessions into two programs: fall camp and winter camp. The bonds created with peers - coping - skills acquired and confidence gained help Adam's Place kids to increase school attendance and performance. Adam's Place has been providing support group programs since 2009.

Help us make our Fall and Winter grief camps possible.
Every child should have a chance to go to camp. Children who have lost their Mom, Dad, Brother or Sister and are now having to deal with grief at such a young age. No child should grieve alone. Join us to make support possible.

Congratulations to Deborah, a friend of Adam's Place, on her book launch last week!
From Deborah:
It’s my story of losing my son Jason at age 24 and the grief I experienced and how I dealt with his loss. It’s also a book of hope and how to move forward. My goal is to help parents through their journey of the loss of their child.
Here’s How YOU can HELP: Purchase + Share! You will be making a difference by supporting a local charity for grief counseling!!
