December 2025 – Volunteer Newsletter

❄️ Hello and Happy December! ❄️

As we close out another year at Adam’s Place, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the tenderness that often comes with this season. The holidays can bring joy, but they can also stir memories, longing, and mixed emotions for many of the families we support — and for us, too. Grief doesn’t pause for the holidays, and your compassion, patience, and presence make an extraordinary difference during this time.

Thank you for showing up with open hearts, steady kindness, and a willingness to sit with others in their hardest moments. Because of you, children, teens, and caregivers found connection, comfort, and healing in 2025. You helped create safe spaces filled with understanding, laughter, creativity, and hope — and that is no small gift.

As we step into a new year, may we carry forward the same spirit of empathy and care that defines this community. We hope the season brings you pockets of rest, warmth, and peace, and that the new year greets you gently.

✨ From all of us at Adam’s Place: thank you, we appreciate you, and we wish you a peaceful holiday season and a hopeful, heart-centered New Year. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who helped make our 10th Annual Mrs. Claus Tea such a magical and memorable event! ☕️✨
Your time, energy, and kindness brought so much warmth to the families who attended. From welcoming guests to helping with activities, crafts, and festive fun, your support truly made the day special. Seeing families smile, connect, and enjoy a little holiday magic wouldn’t have been possible without you. ❤️

We are so grateful for your dedication to our mission and for the love you pour into our community. Thank you for helping us close out the year with joy — we can’t wait to create even more meaningful moments together in the new year. 🎄💛

🌟 Help Us Grow the Camp Cope Family This New Year! 🌟

As dedicated Camp Cope volunteers, you already know the difference compassion can make in the life of a grieving child. You’ve seen the courage, the connection, and the healing that happens in our groups — and now, we’d love your help in bringing more caring hearts into this work. 💛

On January 10, 2026, we’re hosting our next Camp Cope Facilitator Training, a full day of meaningful learning designed to prepare new volunteers to support youth through grief with confidence, warmth, and trauma-informed care.

✨ In-person at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center
✨ Modules 1–3 | 9AM–4PM
✨ Registration required

If you know someone — a friend, coworker, neighbor, school staff member, or community partner — who has the heart for this kind of impact, bring them along! Invite them to join you in making a difference. Sometimes people just need that little nudge or personal invite to step into something powerful.

You’ve already helped shape Camp Cope into the supportive, healing space it is today. Now help us welcome the next wave of facilitators who can carry that impact even further. Together, we can continue to grow a community where every child feels safe, supported, and seen. ❤️

New Resource Alert: Your Facilitator Handbook Is Here! 📚✨

As we celebrate 15 years of impact supporting grieving families, we’ve reached an exciting milestone: the publication of our first two books in the Camp Cope for Kids series!

For all our dedicated volunteers, we are thrilled to spotlight Camp Cope for Kids: The Facilitator Guide. This book is built on years of hands-on experience and is designed to be your ultimate go-to reference tool for future sessions!

This guide is packed with the insights you need to make a difference—one child and one session at a time. It's the perfect resource to keep handy whenever you need a boost of confidence or inspiration! 💡

🎒 Spring 2026 Camp Cope Is Almost Here — and We Couldn't Do It Without You!

As we prepare for another season of Camp Cope, we want to take a moment to recognize the heart and dedication each of you brings to our groups. Your presence, compassion, and steady support are what make Camp Cope a safe and healing space for grieving children, teens, and caregivers.

This spring, we’re ready to welcome families back for sessions filled with connection, creativity, and hope. With your guidance, participants will once again have the chance to:

✨ Share their stories in a safe, confidential space
✨ Build friendships with peers who truly understand
✨ Learn healthy coping skills they can carry far beyond group

Your impact is felt in every moment — every activity, every conversation, every breakthrough. Thank you for showing up with empathy, patience, and heart week after week.

As we get ready for the new season, we’d love your help spreading the word! If you know a family who could benefit from the support Camp Cope offers, or a friend who might want to join our incredible volunteer team, please share our spring session information. Together, we can continue building a community where no child has to grieve alone. 💛
