Hello Adam’s Place Family! August is here, and you know what that means—we’re officially gearing up to be back in action with Camp Cope starting next month! We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our amazing volunteers and facilitators back for another season of making a difference. As we prepare to open our doors to children and teens navigating the waves of grief, we’re reminded that what you do here is nothing short of extraordinary. You bring hope, healing, and a safe space for our kids to share their stories—and you manage to make it fun, too! Thank you for your time, energy, and big hearts. Let’s get ready to bring the magic, the laughter, and the compassion that make Camp Cope such a special place.
"Grief is like the ocean 🌊—it comes in waves, ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it’s overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim… and you are the lifeguards of hope. 💙"

🖤 National Grief Awareness Day – August 30 🖤 Shining a Light on Grief, One Heart at a Time
At Adam’s Place, every hug, every shared story, and every moment of listening makes a difference. But on August 30, we join the nation in an intentional pause to honor National Grief Awareness Day—a day dedicated to acknowledging that grief touches every life, yet often remains unseen.
For children and teens, grief can feel especially isolating. They may not always have the words to describe their feelings, but their hearts carry the weight just the same. This day is a powerful reminder to meet grief with compassion, patience, and open arms.
You, our incredible volunteers and facilitators, help turn silence into sharing and pain into hope. On this day, we invite you to: 💛 Spark a conversation about grief in your community 💛 Reach out to someone who may be carrying an unspoken loss 💛 Learn one new way to support a grieving child or teen
Let’s keep reminding the world that grief is not something to be “fixed”—it’s love that has changed shape. And love, in any form, deserves to be seen.
