Adam’s Place Training and Education Marketplace Continuing Education Grievance Policy

Adam’s Place is committed to providing high quality educational opportunities for professionals and community members who interact with grieving children, teens, and families. If an issue is brought to the attention of the Adam’s Place Continuing Education Director and/or a staff member, this procedural description will serve as a guideline for handling such grievances. Our Social Work Consultant will be involved in resolving any complaints about the speaker, course content, and complaints that escalate to a formal grievance for social workers.

No refunds will be issued for Adam’s Place Training and Education Marketplace Membership Subscriptions.

Grievance Procedures:

  1. If the grievance concerns a presenter, the content presented by the presenter, or the presentation style, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put their comments in written format. Our Continuing Education Director and/or Social Work Consultant will then pass on the comments to the speaker, assuring the confidentiality of the individual reporting the grievance.
  2. If the grievance concerns a webinar or conference presentation, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the conference was offered, the Continuing Education Director and/or Social Work Consultant will mediate and will be the final arbitrator. The Continuing Education Director and/or Social Work Consultant may use the following, in conjunction with other applicable options, to address the grievance: attempt to move the participant to another webinar or conference presentation, provide a credit for a subsequent offering, or provide a partial or full refund of the webinar/conference fee.
  3. If the grievance concerns the Adam’s Place Training and Education Marketplace, in a specific regard, the Chief Executive Officer will attempt to arbitrate.
