Adam’s Place launches new “Superhero Sponsor Club” to help expand services for children coping with loss
Adam’s Place, has launched a new program giving the community a chance to support the nonprofit year-round!
For just $10 a month, individuals can sign on to become a member of the “Superhero Sponsor Club”. The goal is to recognize the year-round supporters of Adam’s Place and to help raise consistent funding for a variety of programs supporting children and families coping with loss in Southern Nevada.
“Superhero Sponsor Club”members will receive a special t-shirt as part of the welcome gift. The sustaining $10 monthly donations will also give members special discounts to Adam’s Place activities & events throughout the year, including the “Vintage & Vines Gala” (now rescheduled for October 21st, 2020) and the “Building Strong Hearts 5K” on November 14th, 2020.
Even as Adam’s Place’s facility remains closed due to state-mandated social distancing guidelines, the nonprofit is still offering services and support to local families. This includes the new “Camp Cope on Demand” video series featuring new yoga coordinator, Shelley Price. The videos, posted on Adam Place’s Facebook Page, feature easy to follow yoga and breathing exercises that can help kids boost their healthy coping skills during these uncertain times.
Adam’s Place gives support to more than 300 youths every year. The non-profit also provides quarterly workshops on healthy coping skills for adults, along with training for teachers, counselors, and social workers. A new program called “Music U” is a collaboration with local musical mentors giving children a chance to expand their coping skills in a healthy way. Other ongoing services include Junior Camp Cope, Adult Parenting Skills Programs, In-School Camp Cope Programs, Quarterly Healthy Coping Workshops, Quarterly Family Connections Events, Spring Well Corporate Employee training and On-Site Support Group Facilitation, along with Motivational Guest Speaker Engagements.
