Welcome Our New Yoga Coordinator Shelley Price
Shelley teaches creatively-sequenced vinyasa flows with traditional and non-traditional yoga poses and transitions, always introducing new ways to explore the body and mind through movement and breath. Her approach to yoga practice (and life) is less rule-based and more focused on cultivating self-awareness through experimentation.
Her dance-based flows and class structure draw heavily on the influence of her RYT-200 hour “Lotus Flow” teacher training at the Church of Yoga in the 7th Ward of New Orleans with the NYC-based Laughing Lotus Yoga Center training staff led by Dana Trixie Flynn. To enable her to share this healing practice with all ages and abilities, she has completed further training with the Accessible Yoga organization’s Jivana Heyman.
Outside of her public studio classes and sessions with private clients, you’re most likely to find her out on a trail. She is a life-long student, especially across the social sciences. She focused her most recent Masters work on optimizing access to meaningful nature experiences for people with disabilities, a goal toward which she also works now in her role as a board member at the Vegas-based non-profit, the Trail Access Project.
