Happy Holidays from Adam’s Place
During this time of year, regardless of which holidays you celebrate, what faith or culture you honor, there is an emphasis on family – a heightened awareness of the importance of family while we gather and celebrate. The reverse is also true, there is a heightened awareness of those missing, those not at the table or at the special gathering. It is important we recognize and honor our traditions and celebrate family while honoring the loved shared and memories of family members that have died.
We hope together your family will create conversations and activities to honor the holiday season and your loved ones. Below are some holiday activities that may help this holiday season.
Help us continue on, shining light and hope for children coping with loss - empowering them for a bright future!
Wishing all a happy and healthy holiday season.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON
Share a Silly Holiday Memory
Share a silly memory of your loved one during the holiday season.
Are there any traditions that you want to change this holiday season? Gift giving If gift giving is a part of your holiday celebration, before the gifts are exchanged, have each family talk about a special gift the loved one has given to them. It could be a tangible gift or perhaps even more meaningful would be an intangible gift.
Ask family members for ways they would like to incorporate the loved one that has died into the “season of family.” This could mean including a portrait or belonging to be a part of the decorations, positioning an empty chair at the table, setting out their favorite coffee mug, or an array of other meaningful items. Look for ways to honor and remember your loved one as you go through the holiday season.
Purchase cylinder candles. Use a variety of materials such as self-adhesive foamy shapes, letters, jewels to decorate candle. Written words and/or phrases and scrapbooking supplies can be attached with Modge-Podge. Especially meaningful could be including photos or pictures of loved ones and family that can be attached with Modge-Podge. The family can choose a way to incorporate a family ritual when lighting this candle to remember your loved one.

3rd annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Ron’s Steakhouse inside Arizona Charlie’s on Tuesday, Nov 7th, 2017. This meal and time together helps prepare families for the holidays. Together we make new memories and look forward to the season ahead.
What an amazing night filled with love and hope at our 3rd Annual Mrs. Claus Tea.
Seeing the smiles on our families faces is why we do what we do.
Thank you to Opportunity Village for being such gracious hosts and for all who continue to make this event possible every year!
We rocked out with Scars on 45, an indie rock band from Bradford England, at our Concert of Hope! Check out their video! VH1 named the band a “You Oughta Know Artist” leading to a national TV performance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
What a great night of music, fun, treats and friends.
